The so-called Third World has
come to be my most important field of activity.
I have travelled and worked in Africa, the
Middle East and Asia, and produced news reports
and films dealing with the political situation
and issues relating to human survival. I have
consciously chosen to concentrate on those
countries and issues that others, for the most
part, overlook. Development aid and the fight
against poverty in Africa are examples of such
subjects, which I have dug quite deeply into

My
journalistic projects are, for the most part,
self-initiated, though I do also take on
assignments – as long as these do not
conflict with my journalistic integrity. An
assignment can be in the form of a film, a
newspaper article or book.
